as alot of you already know, and I am sure are sick of hearing about it, but... for those of you who don't I'll elaborate. I was supposed to start student teaching on the 22nd of January. Ok, well maybe not the 22nd, since it is MLK day, and no schools are open, but you get the idea. My Co-op teacher pulled out, and has left my college scrambling for a placement. As of today, at 8:48 a.m., there is still no placement. What does this mean for my graduation in may you ask? I have no idea. They need to place me, so I am good there, I may not get all 16 weeks in, but considering what transpired is not my fault, they will not hold me from graduating. Right now, as it stands, may 24th at 10 a.m., I will be lined up with all of the other kids, and ready to walk across the stage, get my diploma, and finally be a "grown-up". I think we are going to do a BBQ afterward, something very laid back, but lots of fun none the less. Some of my very best friends in the whole wide world will be there to help me celebrate. I am more excited to have a party afterward!!
the one thing that completely gets stuck in my crawl- it is going to cost me 85.00 to graduate. If I don't pay 85.00, then I do not get my diploma, and all. In other words, the 60,000 they have gotten from me already isn't good enough, they need that 85.00 to push it over the top. OY! Ah, it is what it is, but that just gets me.
That brings me to the other thing still left unfinished, my paper (Insert groan) the good news, I will be put out of my misery one way or another Feb 7th. I will either flunk it, and have to take it over, or I will have presented, gotten a grade and passed. Considering he told me to rewrite the whole thing over (bag-licker)-thanks Heidi for that colorful phrase, I will be restarting it over today, with a due days of Tuesday. How am I going to whip something up stellar in 4 days you ask? Dunno. Perhaps Swift will look better after a few cocktails, and the words will flow...
Dana's band is playing out tonight, and I will be home, writing feverishly. (well, maybe that is an exaggeration, but you get the idea.)
hoping to hear if I am going to teach somewhere....
