so what happenes when

you're Petie, and it is 3 a.m., and your master is up, hungry and bored?
Dana was up at 3, and was rummaging through the fridge to find something to eat, when Petie made the unfortunate mistake if rubbing up against his legs. (he wanted some milk.) Any how, Dana picked him up and cradled him in his arm. Petie (completely unsuspecting) purred and looked lovingly at him. What Petie didn't realize, but he was in for a rude suprise. Dana tlaked to him, and peeped to him (to which Petie answers back) and with that, Dana picked up the can of whipped cream. (cool-whip, if you need to know) any how, he continued to talk to Petie. Now, for those of you cat owners out there, know that if you tickle their paw, right above the pad, they "chicken-foot". That it, they spread their toes as far as they can. Well, Dana made him chicken foot, and when he did, Dana squirted whipped cream in his foot.
petie's ears flattened instantly, and when he was set on the ground, he immediately sat. he didn't shake his foot (why, I am not sure, that would have solved some of the problem) but he started to lick. Each lick, was followed by a head shake. (apparently he doesn't like the whipped cream)...Poor, Poor Petie. poor unsuspecting kitty. How ever amusing it was, Petie did NOT appreciate it.
I am guessing that Dana will have a surprise under his pillow tonight... lol

Shout out to a sheetload

of cards. I have just recently started making cards, and have become ADDICTED! That is why I have been MIA for a bit. I saw this site http://sheetload.blogspot.com/ on another blogger's site. Let me just tell you, their product is cool, they have great ideas, and those ladies there are always generous in their giveaways. (or so it looks, I have not won any, as I am just starting to peruse card sites)
My friend Christina started it all, when she was at the shop, coloring one night, that was all it took for me. I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE to color. Now, it is with pencils and mineral spirits... I may move to markers next... Prisma Color makes a killer set! Saving my pennies...-or I will put them on my christmas list, I am sure mom could wrap them up and stash them in my stocking... (and for all of you out there, yes, mama still makes me a stocking every year, and I LOVE IT!!)
ok, enough randomness for one night. Go check that site, it's cool!!

This is your cat..

this is your cat on drugs. Any questions?

It's 11:35-

do you STILL know where your kitty is??

Lazy little bugger.

It's 11:25 a.m.-

do you know where your kitty is??

a day in the life... of a lazy ass.

5:30 a.m., petie strolls in. (after a night of carousing) He jumps up on the bed and makes himself comfy. Here he is:
So I leave him be, and go to check on him later. Here he is at 7.

I go about my cleaning, and vacuuming. I made our bed AROUND the cat, made the kids beds, and the dishes. Ok, I didn't make the dishes, I put them in the dish washer. It was about 9, so I checked on him again, before I went to the grocery store.

I get back from the store, one hour and 145.00 later. I unpack and put the groceries away. (UGH, I despise everything to do with grocery shopping). Right before I put the kids in for a nap, I go to check on his highness, to see if perhaps he moved..... not so much.

well, I guess if I defined "move" then yes, he did. But move in the sense of the word that he actually got up, and walked his scrawny hide to another section of the house, that he didn't do. Until later.

he managed to saunter down the steps, into the basement. That was about 2 pm. He decided to find a new resting place a bit later on. here he is at 4:45 p.m.- at least his eyes are open.

at 7, we are outside playing with the kids, and who decided to play too?? Petie. this is his idea of playing.
Notice, how most of his activities involve pretty much the same position.

ahhh.... it's good to be the king!

colored pencil goodness...

I am going to share a little know fact about me... I love, love, love them smell of prisma color colored pencils. Love them. I was given a set for Christmas, my senior year in High school. I still have them. I put them in numeric order, so I would know which ones I was missing and then I went online and printed off the list of the pencils that should be in my box. I checked it against what I actually had, and realized I am missing only 9 pencils. (Not to shabby after 16 years...). I went to Michael's and bought the missing pencils. (so happy) Last night, after we got home, I sharpened them, and then as they were in my hand, I sniffed them. I love the smell of them!!! I did not hear Dana come down the stairs or into my scrap room, just in time to see me sniffing... He just looked at me and shook his head. There are certain brands of scrapbooking paper I love to sniff too. (basic grey is one of them).
I put all the pencils in the carousel I have, and it is driving me crazy to have them in non-numeric order... so I think later on today, I will put them back in their rightful order, in their safe tin...~sigh. What I don't do for fun.

all in the name of Kitty Hash-

ok, so I started a huge post, and had it mostly finished, but it got eaten by the cyber trolls. Here I go again, after being heckled by certain somebodies (and YOU know who you are) I am back for attempt #2.
As I said earlier, (before it got eaten) that...

The people next door to us moved and left their kitty. She is about a year and a half old, an orange tabby, very sweet, good with dogs, and kids and she needs a good home. (referably not mine) I believe she has been fixed, and she is just very nice. She came over to our yard yesterday, and this is where Petie got his knickers in a knot. You see, she WAS his girlfriend when he was a bit younger. (like 3 months ago) They must have had a lover's spat, because now everytime he sees her, he arches up, and makes this low gutteral sound I had no idea he was capable of. (kinda scary). As I was petting the stray homeless kitty (she still lays on her stoop, it is kind of sad, really) Well to add insult to injury on his part, she hopped up in my lap. Petie strutted over, made this horrendous noise, and she refused to budge.

Fast foreward a few hours, and it is bed time, and Petie is in the house. He didn't move far from the front stoop for the longest time. Dana felt bad for his slight nose out of joint-ness, decided to give Petie the kitty hash we had stored for him in the cabinet. To make it a bit more entertaining, he gave Peite the Corn- Flake box.
That seemed to ease his little kitty disgruntaled-ness. And we were entertained in the mean time. The thing we do for fun... lol
