get away from me??? Well, ok, I know how the time gets away from me, the cronic procrastinator that I am...
Student teaching at the christian school went well, and now I am off to another high school to get a taste fo both worlds... I am excited and nrevous all at the same time to be here, it is a huge school, not like the other one, that had like 130 kids in the highschool total. The one good thing is, I will be teaching two honors 12 classes, so I can use the same lesson plan for both classes. Then I will be teaching American Lit to the 10th grade. so the work load will be prehaps a bit less. The funny thing, with the 12th grade, what she is teaching in March, is none other than the famous Jonathan Swift, and Gulliver's travels...So that one should be a piece of cake for me.... ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Kimberly is doing well in ballet, her little recital is in June, and her costume is just to stinking cute. I snapped pics of her at the bar doing warmups, and I will have to pop them up here as soon as I can.
During the last snow storm, ALex and I made a snow man, and Ethan rode on my neighboor's tractor with him. It was cute. Kimberly made snow bunnies. ok, they are not where I thought they would be, so I will have to upload them later as well, so for now, nothign fun to look at, just words. Plain boring ol words.

first day...
of being a student teacher. It was busy, it was crazy, and Holy Canoli, do I ahve a TON of work to do...
The school, is small, but a tight knit community. It is nice, and I think I will like it.
The kids are at Beth's and seem to be doing ok with it. Ethan keeps his pig, and his half knawed on binki. He loves all the thomas the train stuff that she has. So, all is ok. :) Kimberly will start Preschool on the 11th, and she is so excited about that, it isn't even funny.
I go today to meet my prof (%$#@@#$#@) for the last revamp on my (*&^%@$@**&%) paper. I will be presenting it on Thursday. Anyon know how to do a power point???? I have no idea. I just need a grade...
Petie gets shots today, then in 2 weeks, he will get his "tonsils" removed...
I just heard thunder, and it is supposed to be 71 on wed... WTF?? yikes.
ok, enough jibbber-jabber time for more brilliant paper writing...ha.

Attended a meeting
about our student teaching. The prof goes around the room, and everyone happily tells where there are going. Then he gets to me. "That's right, he says, they're working on yours" and keeps going. I suddenly feel like Charlie Brown, with more hair. I am waiting on a call, they swear they will have me placed by Thursday.
On the paper wiritng news, I will be finished either way Feb 6th. I have written a bit more than drivel, so I guess it is a step in the right dirrection. AS my dad once told my husband "the hardest part about any task, is that first step. Once you get that done, the rest will fall into place." thanks Dad, that had brought me more comfort these last few days, and it was an awesome bit of advice.

3 down
17 more to go... the first three look not to shabby I think, but that is what I have thought each time he gave them back and told me they were horriable. I tell ya' I am seriously earning this degree...

What is it about a new

roll of toliet paper, sitting innocently enough on the table, that the cat feel the need to attack? Petie has taken to ambushing those rolls off the table, then ripping then to shreds. He loves it. In fact, after he destroyed one, I went and bought a new pack of tp- you know the one with 4 in it. I asked Alex to put it away. He laid it on the table. It was safe, for a minate. Dana came home and opened it. Perhaps it was the crack of the plastic that woke Petie from a sund slumber. Maybe it was the smell of the Tp traveling. What ever it was that did it, he snuck into the bathroom on his tippy toes, and attacked. Two of the rolls were taken out of their safe, plastic haven, and put out of their misery.TWO. Not one. TWO. how can one cat attack TWO rolls at the same time? Beth calls him Tarzan, I think it is more like Zorro. After he makes this mess, he falls asleep in the paper. Geuss the beds aren't good enough, and no, it isn't charmin soft...

The latest in my college saga...
as alot of you already know, and I am sure are sick of hearing about it, but... for those of you who don't I'll elaborate. I was supposed to start student teaching on the 22nd of January. Ok, well maybe not the 22nd, since it is MLK day, and no schools are open, but you get the idea. My Co-op teacher pulled out, and has left my college scrambling for a placement. As of today, at 8:48 a.m., there is still no placement. What does this mean for my graduation in may you ask? I have no idea. They need to place me, so I am good there, I may not get all 16 weeks in, but considering what transpired is not my fault, they will not hold me from graduating. Right now, as it stands, may 24th at 10 a.m., I will be lined up with all of the other kids, and ready to walk across the stage, get my diploma, and finally be a "grown-up". I think we are going to do a BBQ afterward, something very laid back, but lots of fun none the less. Some of my very best friends in the whole wide world will be there to help me celebrate. I am more excited to have a party afterward!!
the one thing that completely gets stuck in my crawl- it is going to cost me 85.00 to graduate. If I don't pay 85.00, then I do not get my diploma, and all. In other words, the 60,000 they have gotten from me already isn't good enough, they need that 85.00 to push it over the top. OY! Ah, it is what it is, but that just gets me.
That brings me to the other thing still left unfinished, my paper (Insert groan) the good news, I will be put out of my misery one way or another Feb 7th. I will either flunk it, and have to take it over, or I will have presented, gotten a grade and passed. Considering he told me to rewrite the whole thing over (bag-licker)-thanks Heidi for that colorful phrase, I will be restarting it over today, with a due days of Tuesday. How am I going to whip something up stellar in 4 days you ask? Dunno. Perhaps Swift will look better after a few cocktails, and the words will flow...
Dana's band is playing out tonight, and I will be home, writing feverishly. (well, maybe that is an exaggeration, but you get the idea.)
hoping to hear if I am going to teach somewhere....

Petie-Zilla

Our kitty Petie, strikes again.
For christmas, Kimbelry was given a three story doll house. Barbie, princesses, and little poeple reside in this mamouth mansion. So does Petie. He has taken to the third floor most times, he has his own personal condo. He loves it. Yesterday, while making Kimberly's bed, he hopped up and waited for me to finish. He chose the living room to hang in. The unsuspecting barbie was having dinner downstairs. All of a sudden, this furry arm, came down the elevator shaft, and nabbed the barbie, and pulled her through the elevator shaft, and hauled her up to the second floor, to chew on her head...

should she fall out of his grasp, he woud jump down and haul her back into the house, hop back to the second floor, and start over again. It was rather amusing to see, although not so amusing for the barbie under attack...
